Situated in the heart of unspoilt nature and far from any light pollution, Hambye Abbey offers a haven of peace ideal for stargazing on a fine summer's night.
The site team invites you to settle down on the grass or on a deckchair with your picnic to enjoy the early evening in the company of storyteller Camille Regnault.
As night falls, the Querqueville astronomy group will be on hand with telescopes and knowledge to delight your eyes! Weather permitting, you'll be able to admire the Milky Way, colorful double stars, star clusters, diffuse nebulae, galaxies... And who knows, maybe Saturn, the magnificent ringed planet, will complete the show at the end of the evening!
Don't forget to bring your own picnic, something to sit on (blanket, deckchair) and warm clothing.
You can also bring your own telescope, for advice on how to use it.
In the event of cloudy skies or bad weather, we'll be offering a range of activities under cover (presentations on naked-eye observation, hands-on workshops, etc.).
Reservations required.
