Villedieu-les-Poêles is a true Norman city of arts and crafts, known throughout the world for its ancestral crafts. Dinanderie, bell-making and many others can be discovered in this small medieval town.

Don't think of coming to Villedieu-les-Poêles without visiting its exceptional sites which are the pride of the city. The Copper Workshop, the Cornille-Havard Bell Foundry, Mauviel 1830... Respectful of traditional know-how, these craftsmen are internationally recognised. You can see why it would be a shame to miss them! Other know-how and techniques made in France can be visited just a few kilometres from the city, in the heart of the Bay of Mont Saint-Michel. This is the case of the famous Saint-James knitwear, whose reputation is well established. What do they have in common? These companies have been awarded the "Entreprise du Patrimoine Vivant" (Living Heritage Company) label, so their exceptional know-how is well recognised!
