Jérôme Correas, renowned Baroque singer, conductor and harpsichordist, spent part of his childhood in Hambye. As a connoisseur of the area, he accepted the invitation of the Association des amis de l'abbaye de Hambye to offer two exotic concerts.



He takes us on a musical journey through 17th- and 18th-century Baroque Europe, from Madrid to London, via Venice and Paris. Accompanied by Jean-François Lombard (countertenor) and Nicolas Crnjanski (cello), he offers a diverse program of songs in four different languages: Spanish folk songs, French court airs, English chansons and Italian canzones.



The program includes works by Purcell, Cavalli, Monteverdi, Marais, Charpentier, de Hidalgo and Riballas.
